My name is Jonathan Gaskell, managing director of Gaskells Waste Services.

The company has come a long way since I bought my first bin wagon in 1991 and won my first contract. At the time, I wanted to provide a waste collection service with a difference – one based on quality and professionalism where the customer always comes first. That ambition has continued to drive our business philosophy

From those early days we have grown steadily year on year and have established an enviable reputation for customer service and reliability. We have moved premises twice, established a fleet of the latest vehicles and, I am delighted to say, have been joined by a team of forward thinking and dedicated people.

We are 100% customer focussed and we are 100% committed to recycling, recovering and re-using waste materials whenever possible.

We have invested £2.5m in a state-of-the-art recycling centre on a two-acre site in Bootle, just minutes from Liverpool city centre. We recycle paper, glass, wood, metal and plastic and we have drastically reduced the amount of waste going to landfill.

Because our centre is equipped with the latest recycling equipment we can offer a truly cost- effective service for our customers. We are fully compliant with all relevant waste legislation and are able to advise our customers on how they can achieve the best-fit solution for their individual requirements.
